X-Booms match industry standards for gradeability, platform height and outreach, drive speed and four-wheel drive capability, but hydraulic outriggers have replaced the heavy counterweights found on conventional self-propelled machines. This makes the X-Booms lighter and less expensive than other self-propelled booms on the market, according to Brent Hagedorn, Director of Marketing at Bil-Jax. The X-Booms represent "a new category of self-propelled boom lifts that will satisfy a longstanding, unmet market need," says Hegedorn.
